Integration future called into question

The future of health and social care integration has been called into question after the NHS signalled a major shift towards an increasingly provider-driven system. 

Doubts were raised as – in a dramatic intervention - a House of Lords select committee on the long-term sustainability of the NHS today called for the social care budget to be moved to a new government department of health and care in a bid to hasten integration efforts.
