It's most definitely 'austerity continues' for local government

Austerity is ending! Or perhaps, sweeties for all, but not too many. This is how local government, and indeed the public, may ultimately perceive this week's Budget.

The top priority, the NHS, gets its much heralded £20bn - which the public think will just about maintain things as they are - only 14% believe it will lead to improvements in NHS services.
