Javid: Asylum housing system could be overhauled

Schemes for homing asylum seekers across the country could be overhauled following heavy criticism from councils.

Home secretary Sajid Javid has indicated more people could be accommodated in areas that currently have few placements to ease pressure on authorities that are supporting more asylum seekers.
