Javid: Attendance allowance will not be part of rates reforms

Attendance allowance will not be devolved to local government as part of 100% business rate retention, the communities secretary has announced.

Addressing the Local Government Association (LGA) councillors' forum today, Sajid Javid confirmed the localisation of the benefit was ‘not being considered as part of the business rate reforms’.
