Javid threatens intervention over local plans

The communities secretary has praised the sector’s role in housing delivery but threatened intervention in councils that fail to get a local plan in place.

In a speech in Bristol today, Sajid Javid said ‘most’ councils were ‘doing very well’ but said 15 local authorities that have not managed to get a local plan adopted were ‘showing particular cause for concern’.
