Javid threatens legal action over town hall pravdas

Communities secretary Sajid Javid has threatened to take two councils to court if they don’t stop publishing their newspapers so often.

Hackney and Waltham Forest LBCs both publish council newspapers - branded 'town hall pravdas' by former communities secretary Eric Pickles - fortnightly, despite the Publicity Code recommending councils publish no more than quarterly.
