KPMG prepares to step back from local government audit

KPMG is preparing to step back from its local government audit work after failing to win any of the contracts under a new sector-led system.

The under-fire auditor was not successful when Public Sector Audit Appointments (PSAA) undertook a national procurement covering the accounting period for 2018/19 to 2022/23.
