LEPs face race against time

Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) face a race against time to reconfigure and register as legal entities, amid a threat from ministers to withhold growth fund cash.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) this week rejected council requests for more guidance on what constitutes an acceptable geography or population size for LEPs.
