Relationships between officers and councillors tend to be good, Local Government Association (LGA) peer reviewers have found.
The LGA’s annual report on its corporate peer challenge programme in 2016/17, published last week, said relationships were largely based on ‘mutual respect and a good understanding of respective roles’.
