LGA airs its Brexit fears

New communities secretary Robert Jenrick has attempted to soothe Local Government Association (LGA) Brexit concerns after hearing them directly at a crunch Marsham Street meeting.

Mr Jenrick announced on Saturday that all local authorities will need to have a lead officer on Brexit and said the Government would be ‘providing £20m for councils to support the major step up in preparations’ to leave the EU by the end of October.
