The Local Government Association (LGA) has opened talks with ‘strategic’ suppliers in a bid to mitigate the fallout from a future Carillion-style collapse.
Six firms have been identified as critically important to the sector – Bupa, Capita, Microsoft, Amey, Cambian and Allied Healthcare – and engaged with by the LGA in the hope of ‘developing a more strategic relationship’.
