LGA seeks action to match 'warm words' over asylum seeker support

A ‘step change’ in relations between Government and council over accommodating asylum seekers is resulting from meetings between the two.

Senior Home Office representatives and the Local Government Association (LGA) have been in discussion at officer and political level following complaints by authorities about funding and the concentration of new arrivals in some areas.
