Last June Leeds City Council was judged Local Authority of the Year in The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2016. As its chief executive Tom Riordan comments, the award was a huge endorsement of the work by its staff and elected members

The past year has seen big wins by Leeds City Council culminating in it being named Local Authority of the Year at the gala awards evening for The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2016.
