As this article goes to press, schools and councils across the country are still waiting for the Government to publish its second-stage consultation on fairer funding for schools.

With plans to use the updated funding formula from September 2017, but no news as to what the formula will look like, schools are being left with remarkably little time to plan their budgets.

Councils have long been calling for a fairer funding system for all schools and it is positive that this is finally being addressed.
