South Buckinghamshire DC’s leader has resisted pressure to drop the threat of a legal challenge to the Government’s decision to back a single county unitary.
Earlier this year, the council handed authority to chief executive Bob Smith to ‘take such action as deemed necessary to protect the best interests of residents and communities including but not limited to seeking expert legal advice and lodging of legal challenges’.
