Levelling up transparency call amid funding row

Whitehall officials were this week facing renewed pressure over how the Levelling Up Fund was doled out amid allegations about the allocation of public funding.

In a letter to permanent secretary at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), Jeremy Pocklington, the concerned Labour chair of the Public Accounts Committee, Meg Hillier, demanded answers about £4.8bn fund.
