Lib Dems unveil £13bn social care funding pledge

The Lib Dems have announced an election policy that would lead to an extra £13bn going to social care.

Partly funded through a 1p levy on the basic rate of income tax - forecast to raise £7bn - the Lib Dems said a total of £35bn could be ploughed into health and social care over the next five years.
