Making modular work in Birmingham

When the Housing Revenue Account borrowing cap was lifted last year, it was hailed by many as the silver bullet that will kick start unprecedented and wide-scale local authority housebuilding across the country that hasn’t been seen since the introduction of the 1919 Addison Act.

However, the pressures of the national housing shortage have had a dramatic impact on Birmingham and the city, like many across the UK, is now in the grip of a homelessness crisis.
