Making the move into commercialism

The question of whether or not to pursue commercialisation will be on many council agendas in 2017. It is important, before decisions are taken to pursue commercialisation, that there is a shared understanding of what it actually means. Only then can councils identify what is required to pursue it.

Commercialisation is the way of thinking, behaving and performing that enables an organisation to identify and exploit market opportunities to generate profitable revenue streams and capital receipts.
