Minister warns austerity is not over

Welsh local government minister, Julie James, warned that austerity is not over as she announced the finance settlement.

Local authorities will receive nearly £4.5bn in core revenue funding and business rates to spend in 2020/21 – an increase of £184m from 2019/20, on a like-for-like basis.
