New CIPFA president aims to simplify accounts

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy’s (CIPFA) new president has said she wants to use her year at the helm to simplify council accounts.

In an interview with The MJ, Sarah Howard, said she aimed to make local government accounts ‘more useful to stakeholders’.
