New combined authority holds inaugural meeting

The North of Tyne Combined Authority has held its first cabinet meeting to decide how to spend a £600m investment fund.

Leaders from Newcastle City Council, Northumberland Council and North Tyneside MBC agreed to offer grants to help grow businesses and rural communities, and improve skills.
