Nottingham moves to tighten governance of its companies

Nottingham City Council is to overhaul the governance of its commercial interests following failures at its energy firm.

A public interest report by external auditor Grant Thornton was heavily critical of the council’s governance of Robin Hood Energy, which has cost the council £24m in losses.
