Nottinghamshire apologises for historic child sexual abuse

The ‘dreadful stain’ on Nottinghamshire CC cannot be denied or excused, the council leader has said in an apology to all victims of child sexual abuse.

Cllr Kay Cutts made a pledge to survivors of abuse today, promising that their voices will be heard, that the council will take steps to ensure that past mistakes are not repeated and that the perpetrators of abuse are ‘brought to justice’.
