Nottinghamshire CC is to take ‘significant concerns’ over funding for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to the Government.
Councillors heard last week that the authority faced a £5.9m shortfall in its SEND budget next year, requiring £2.4m to be transferred from mainstream to high needs spending – the maximum 0.5% permitted by Whitehall.
