Oldham tightens restrictions as Wilkins takes on Whitehall role

The council whose chief executive has been drafted in as national test and trace adviser has tightened coronavirus restrictions for its residents.

Oldham MBC has told residents not to have social visitors to their homes for the next two weeks after the numbers of people testing positive for coronavirus in the borough more than quadrupled over the last week.
