Paper shortage could undermine snap election

A snap General Election caused by turmoil at the top of the Conservative Party could be undermined by a shortage of paper needed during ballots, election officers have warned.

In a letter sent to levelling up secretary Greg Clark, the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) called for a ‘conversation on practical solutions to mitigate these very real risks’ caused by global supply chain delays following the COVID-19 pandemic.
