Pessimism growing due to care funding uncertainty

Health leaders have warned that under-funding of social care and public health services could leave them unable to deliver the Government’s NHS long term plan.

NHS Providers’ annual analysis of the challenges facing its members also warns that the lack of clarity on social care and public health budgets – together with the failure to publish the long-awaited social care green paper – are contributing to a feeling of pessimism among sector leaders.
