Pickles predicts bonfire of the LEPs

The number of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) will fall after May’s General Election, communities secretary Eric Pickles has said.

Mr Pickles said he would be happy for some of the existing 39 LEPs to merge after the election, but did not specify which ones or how many he would like to see in the end.
