Planners have backed district councils to keep the lion’s share of New Homes Bonus (NHB) in response to a consultation on the funding pot’s future.
The Planning Officers Society (POS) also warned the funds must remain an incentive for growth and councils must not become so reliant on the funding that it ‘starts to override good planning’.
