Political row breaks out over Towns Fund

The Government’s £3.6bn Towns Fund has been dismissed as a ‘pre-election stunt’ by political opponents.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced 100 places that will share £16.4m of funding to put together business plans, which would then unlock up to £25m each.
