Portsmouth leader 'shocked' at Brexit port funding

The leader of a council covering a ‘vital’ freight port has expressed his shock at the Government funding allocated to his authority for Brexit.

Funding for ports was yesterday doubled from £1.5m to £3.14m to support 19 authorities to ‘plan and better mitigate against potential disruptions once we have exited the EU’.
