Local authorities may be given powers to impose financial penalties on developers who renege on previously agreed affordable housing targets, housing minister Dominic Raab has said.
Giving evidence to the Communities and Local Government Committee yesterday, Mr Raab said the Government was willing to explore the imposition of sharper penalties on rogue developers.
