'Preoccupation with cities threatens towns' growth' - report

Government ‘preoccupation’ with big cities is limiting the growth of smaller towns, a new report has claimed.

The Places with Purpose report has urged for efforts to encourage economic growth to be focused on smaller cities, towns and communities, arguing ‘national policymaking has become preoccupied with London and the main regional cities’.
