Pressure mounts for compulsory asylum dispersal

Home Secretary Priti Patel is being urged to make the dispersal scheme for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) mandatory for councils.

As local authorities continue to raise concerns about support for people seeking refugee status, the Daily Telegraph has reported senior Home Office civil servants are advising Ms Patel to force more councils to take in their fair share.
