‘Push ahead with devo until you’re told to stop’

Local leaders should keep pushing the limits of devolution until they are told to stop, the chief executive of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has suggested.

In an exclusive interview with The MJ, Deborah Cadman claimed the combined authority’s financial creativity was constrained by financial rules and called for the freedom to make better use of money markets, borrowing and investments.
