Rates relief scheme slammed as ‘spin- doctoring’ exercise

Private sector bosses have accused the Welsh Government of the ‘worst form of spin-doctoring’ after it made its small business rates relief scheme permanent.

Welsh local government secretary, Mark Drakeford, confirmed last week the temporary £98m scheme will now run until 2018, when it will be replaced by a permanent scheme.
