Report discovers little assurance on council-owned company governance

A Hertsmere BC audit report has only given ‘limited assurance’ that its governance of council-owned companies is effectively controlled.

Hertsmere’s involvement in the running of council-owned Elstree Film Studios and the expenses of its Conservative leader Morris Bright have been the subject of local debate following information obtained by Labour.
