Retailers urge council to drop ‘tourist tax’ plans

A national group representing pubs and bars has warned Bath & North East Somerset Council against adopting a tourist tax.

The Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) said such a levy could have a ‘hugely detrimental effect on revenue streams’ and ‘undermine’ the local economy.
