Failing to acknowledge deprivation levels and the health of the population when devising the business rates redistribution formula will amplify inequalities, the chief executive of the Association of Directors of Public Health has warned.
Nicola Close yesterday welcomed the Government’s announcement that the public health ringfence grant would continue into 2018/19, bridging the gap before it is subsumed into the 100% business rate retention scheme.
