Risky business (rates)

The chaps and chapesses at the Foreign Office recently completed their annual naming and shaming of foreign delegations in serious arrears with business rates.

Perhaps the president of the USA, Donald Trump, labelling Nine Elms in south-west London a ‘lousy location’ for the country’s new embassy building, explains why a business rates demand for more than £23,000 has so far been ignored.
