Row with trust stalls stadium project

A row has broken out between Wakefield City Council and a community trust over the building of a new stadium.

In a 2,000 word statement, the council said it had a ‘long, proud history’ of supporting sport in the area – but insisted it was ‘unable to force the developer to build a stadium’ until two trigger points were reached.
