Rural residents are paying an average of £87 more per head in council tax than their urban counterparts, new figures have suggested.
Analysis of the 2017 Budget by the Rural Services Network (RSN), which represents 150 predominantly rural councils, also claimed that urban areas of England and Wales will receive more cash per head from the additional £2bn Budget funding for adult social care.
