Rural-London clash over fair funding

London Councils is expected to clash with rural authorities over the upcoming fair funding review.

In its response to the Government’s technical consultation on relative need, the organisation will make the case that rural areas should not benefit twice by the formula reflecting both the impact of sparsity and deprivation.
