Scots councils welcome ALEO decision

Scottish councils have welcomed a decision to allow leisure and cultural venues run by local authority arm’s-length bodies to continue to benefit from rates relief.

Resources spokeswoman for the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, Gail Macgregor, said yesterday’s decision by finance secretary Derek Mackay was ‘good news’.
