Scottish councils want to continue working with the EU

The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities met with the chief EU negotiator Michel Barnier to discuss its hopes to continue cooperating with the union after Brexit.

COSLA’s president, Cllr Alison Evison, of Aberdeenshire Council, and vice-president, Cllr Graham Houston, of Stirling Council, met with Mr Barnier in Brussels yesterday to discuss how Scottish councils can participate in a range of EU cooperation programmes after the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
