Sector’s ethnicity under government scrutiny

Councils have been warned they must ‘explain or change’ their record on ethnicity despite fresh data highlighting the sector’s strong performance in recruitment.

Prime minister Theresa May this week published the first government ‘race audit,’ laying bare racial divides in outcomes across education, health, employment and the criminal justice system.
