Sharing a passion for supported internships

There are many things that fill me with pride in my work. One thing I am especially proud of is Lancashire CC’s commitment to improving the lives and the opportunities available to young people with learning disabilities and autism.

DFN Project SEARCH is a one year transition to work programme for young people in their final year of school or college that provides total workplace immersion to help prepare them for employment. The programme helps interns acquire competitive, transferable, and marketable job skills and helps them gain increased independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
