Socially enterprising Croydon

By Peter Holbrook | 29 May 2015

Croydon is the first London Borough to achieve ‘Social Enterprise Place’ status.  Social Enterprise UK are accrediting areas across the country where hotspots of social enterprise and innovation can be demonstrated.

Croydon now joins ten other places, from Plymouth to Sunderland, which are spearheading growth in the social enterprise sector. From Tuesday, we’ll be out and about visiting social enterprises in Croydon such as CAYSH and My OutSpace to hear about their journey and successes.

I’m also delighted to be a keynote speaker at Croydon Social Enterprise Summit this week, part of social enterprise week in Croydon, supported by Santander. This summit will bring together the sector to celebrate the award, network and showcase fantastic social enterprises in the borough.
