Somerset districts publish reorganisation proposals

District councils in Somerset have proposed the creation of two unitary councils and a combined authority in the county.

Mendip, Sedgemoor, South Somerset DCs and Somerset West & Taunton Council have put forward the concept as an alternative to the county council’s plans for a single authority.
